MNP Transformation Services BEE is an Exempted Micro Enterprise, and thus a Level 1 Contributor to BEE based on the New Revised Codes of Good Practice gazette in 11 October 2013 and a Level 3 Contributor to BEE based on the old codes which were gazette on the 9 Feb 2007. Competitive Advantage Tebogo Morare, the chief executive member of MNP Transformation Services has a vast experience in the BEE arena. He has worked as a Verification Analyst and B-BBEE specialist since 2006. He worked with various stakeholders in the BEE industry such as, The DTI, SANAS, ABVA, Verification Agencies and BEE Consultants. His in-the-field experience has exposed him to the good, the bad and the ugly as companies endeavor to win the race for compliance. It has given him unique insight into the mindset of how companies approach Transformation. Based on this, Morare knows the exact direction / purpose the DTI or South Africa is taking with regards to B-BBEE, the requirements of SANAS and verification agencies and also the interpretation of the Codes of Good Practice & its intentions. Enterprise Development (ED) Projects

MNP facilitates the Enterprise Development initiatives for its clients and many other companies. MNP focuses to make contributions that will only assist more than 51% black owned Exempted Micro enterprise (EME’s) & Qualifying Small Enterprises (QSE’s) businesses. The aim is ti ensure that business gain points on their BEE rating for this elements based on both current Codes and sector charters as well as the New revised Codes of Good Practice gazette on the 11 October 2013. Although the revised codes transitional period is been extended to April 2015, it will be effective immediately. Entities will have no time to prepare and align its initiatives but are expected to abide by the rules. The objective of this element is to assist “black” owned companies to grow their businesses with the ultimate goal of becoming financially and operationally independent. The Codes of Good Practice descript Enterprise Development as: Enterprise Development Contributions consist of monetary and non- monetary, recoverable or non-recoverable contributions actually initiated and implemented in favour of beneficiary entities by a measured Entity with the specific objective of assisting or accelerating the development, sustainability and ultimate financial and operational independence of the beneficiary.

MNP facilitates the Socio-Economic Development initiatives for its clients and many other companies. MNP focuses to make contributions that will only assist more than 75% black beneficiaries. The definition of black is as defined by the Codes of Good Practice and the BEE Act. Socio-Economic Development (SED) objective is to encourage initiatives that enhance the ability of black people to be included in participating in the economy in a sustainable manner. Many businesses do not differentiate the SED initiatives and the corporate social Investment (CSI) initiatives. The main difference is actually the recipient of the contribution and purpose of such contribution. For BEE purpose only SED contributions will account for the BEE points.
